The Three Rivers Film Festival plays shorts competitively, and our screening was last night. This morning we heard that we were the First Place Winner of the Shorts Competition! Great news indeed.

Here in London we have become political. Or, at least, we are part of a movement with a manifesto. LFF Programmer Philip Ilson has put together some tenets of what short films should, or should not, be, in conjunction with our programme DEATH TO SHORT FILM. It appears, with an article by Philip, in this week's London edition of Time Out magazine...

On a more grass-roots level, it seems the screenings went well. Laughs, meaningful silences, and two audiences who got it. As well as a great turnout from my London family and friends. Couldn't have asked for more.
